Supporting reactive and sensitive dogs — and the people who love them.
Jessica Logan supports dogs and their people through nervous-system–based education and behavior work that prioritizes regulation, relationship, and real-life application. Her approach is grounded in neuroscience, ethology, and lived experience — offering practical, compassionate guidance for sustainable change beyond obedience-based methods.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to help your dog, you’re not alone — and you don’t need to “fix” your dog to move forward.

Understanding Behaviour Starts with the Nervous System
Many behaviors labeled as “problem behaviors”, like reactivity, pulling, not listening, hyperactivity, barking, biting, or inability to settle are not training failures.
They are nervous-system responses.
When a dog is overwhelmed or stuck in survival states, learning becomes difficult. No amount of commands or corrections can create regulation where safety doesn’t yet exist.
Instead of focusing on control, I help people understand:
-
what their dog’s nervous system is communicating
-
how emotional systems like fear, frustration, seeking, and play drive behavior
-
how to support recovery, regulation, and connection in everyday life
This creates change that lasts because it works with the dog’s biology, not against it.

My Work
My work focuses on education using neuroscience, ethology, and hands-on experience to help people understand canine behavior and the emotional systems behind it.
I support dogs struggling with:
-
reactivity toward people, dogs, vehicles, or environments
-
big adolescent emotions and impulsivity
-
difficulty settling or self-regulating
-
sensitivity, shutdown, or overwhelm
-
leash frustration and hyperarousal
